Rosewood Self-Catering is set in the residential suburb of Gonubie, a popular holiday destination near East London. Gonubie is a popular fishing destination and well known for the annual Surfer’s Marathon as well as the Half Iron Man Competition.
We have three units: The Rosewood Cottage is a 4-6 sleeper cottage and consists of a bathroom and an open-plan lounge and kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second contains 2 single beds. The bathroom is a full bathroom with bath and shower. The cottage has its own private entrance and braai facilities. It has Netflix, Wi-Fi and secure undercover parking is provided for guests.
Rosewood Studio is an upstairs apartment and is a 2-4 sleeper. It comprises a double bed and a single day bed, together with a lounge, bathroom with a shower only, and a kitchenette. It has Netflix, Wi-Fi and secure parking. There are no braai facilities.
Rosewood Annex is a perfect unit for a business person or a couple. It is a ground floor unit consisting of a room with double bed, a seating area, a good size bathroom with a double shower, a kitchenette, Netflix, Wi-Fi and an outside seating and braai area.
Rosewood is within walking distance of the Gonubie Golf course and a 5-minute drive to the idyllic Gonubie Beach and shopping mall. It is a 20-minute drive to all the facilities in East London including shopping malls, golf courses, restaurants and a 30-minute drive to game farms and the beautiful East Coast Resorts.

Die plek het alles en meer wat mens nodig het – dis lekker skoon, die WiFi is goed en die gasvrou baie vriendelik. Ek soek altyd ‘n veilige, bekostigbare, skoon en privaat plekkie, net om te rus en verder te kan ry – die is beslis dit.

The Studio is situated on the first floor and is spacious and well appointed. The main bed is king-size and the couch converts to two singles, ideal for a couple or family. The marble topped kitchen has a full-sized stove, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, plenty of pots, ovenware, crockery and cutlery – even a tea-pot. The lounge area is comfortable and has a TV with DStv. The WiFi connection is good. There is secure parking under a car port directly below the studio. From the entrance door, the sea can be seen across the golf course. The suburb is quiet, with all amenities just a short drive away.

Die kothuis is baie netjies en heerlik ingerig. Ons kon selfs ons hondjies ook saamneem. Fantasties vir ‘n rustige vakansie. Die skoonmaker wat daagliks kom skoonmaak was ook baie vriendelik en netjies. Baie dankie aan Sharon en haar span. Ek kan Rosewood Self-Catering baie sterk aanbeveel.

Bitter koud in die winter. Geen verwarmer of lugreëling nie. Was wakker gemaak met die reuk van kool op die stoof. Notas op die muur wat aandui dat jy asb. geen ligte moet aan los as jy uitgaan nie, maar tot my verbasing was die ligte deur iemand aangesit in ons afwesigheid.

I really enjoy the stay, it was very peaceful and accommodating to what we requested when making the booking. We check in late and Sharon was available to hand over keys. Very lovely person.

We had a pleasant stay. We did not notice that the fridge was set at zero so our milk turned sour overnight. One bed lamp was faulty, but we found another in the cupboard. I slept on the couch in the studio and had nowhere to put my bed lamp or anything else. These are minor inconveniences that can be rectified quite easily.

Ons het gebruik gemaak van die Rosewood Studio. Dit is ‘n baie netjiese, skoon en moderne eenheid perfek vir die twee van ons gewees. Dit is moontlik om 3 Volwassenes of 2 Volwassenes en 2 Kinders baie gemaklik te huisves. Die eienaars is baie vriendelik en behulpsaam, spesiale dank aan Sharon wat ook gesorg het dat ek items wat ons vergeet het om te pak, vir ons ge-“Courier” het na die tyd. Gaan die pragtige honde mis wat so vriendelik hulle stert swaai en ons kom groet het elke keer as ons ry. Sal beslis weer van Rosewood gebruik maak.

Rosewood is ‘n pragtige en netjiese plek in ‘n rustige area geleë en die eienaar is baie gasvry, gaan die ekstra myl om dit gerieflik te maak. Ek sal dit definitief aanbeveel veral vir mense wat hou van rustigheid. Definitief waarde vir jou geld.

Het tuisgegaan in die Studio en was alles en meer wat verwag het. Baie netjies en jy voel sommer dadelik tuis met die intrapslag. Diens van die kamer was klokslag daagliks gedoen en daar is elke dag ekstra gedoen. Sodra ons tuis kom is ons verwelkom met ‘n skoon, netjiese kamer. Wat ek wel kan voorstel is dat daar ‘n paar ekstra goedjies vir kinders in die kamer geplaas kan word (plastiek glasies en bakkies, sker, ens.) sal help.

Lekker gebly, kamer was net warm. Sal ‘n lugversorging voorstel. Daar moet net gekyk word dat gaste in kamer gesit word wat hul bespreek.

Die decor is vreeslik mooi en alles is netjies en skoon en baie ruim. Was perfek vir ons gewees. Alhoewel ons dit vreeslik geniet het en ek kon nie vir beter vra nie en die eienaar was vreeslik vriendelik en tegemoetkomend, was daar net een ding wat nogal ons onkant gevang het en dit was dat sy die tweede slaapkamer kom sluit het nadat ons ingeboek het. Dit het ons net nogal ongemaklik laat voel. Anders was alles net wonderlik.
